Buster Brown

Thank you so much for helping us. It is so good to see him happy again!

— Dmitrius —

Buster Brown came into Dmitrius’ life 7 years ago during a time of grief after Dmitrius’ dad passed away, “Buster has been my kid ever since. Buster is such a lover, a happy dog, a true companion. When I come home, he jumps 3 feet, does circles and is so happy to see me every day. It makes me happy to come home every day.” When asked what 3 words describe Buster, Dmitrius describes him as, “Companion. Loyal. Excited.

This duo has been joined at the…paw ever since – playing disc golf together, taking road trips and even hitting up Vegas! When Buster Brown began not eating and not being able to use the bathroom, Dmitrius became very concerned. With careful observation, he kept an eye on Buster with diligence.

After a couple of days, Dmitrius took Buster Brown to All Creatures Pet Care in Porterville for diagnostics. Buster Brown was found to have an enlarged prostrate which was causing multiple problems to his system. The veterinarian let Dmitirus know that surgery would be needed, and unfortunately the cost was quite high. Dmitrius tried GoFundMe, asking family members and reached out to his friends for resources. Several of his friends, as well as the vet, recommended Dmitrius apply to Max’s Helping Paws for financial assistance. Although it was a new organization to Dmitrius, he was willing and eager to try anything possible to ensure Buster Brown received proper care.

With the financial assistance from Max’s Helping Paws, the surgery needed to save Buster Brown was possible. After the surgery and healthy recovery, this duo is back in action, and Buster is bouncier than ever!
