Emy’s Misstep

Emy is my baby and I want her to be able to have the care that she needs and deserves. Please help me.

— Karen —

Emy and Karen have been a friendly pair seen around town the past 12 years as they enjoy walking the neighborhood together for fresh air. During their 12 years together, this pair has gone through all the ups and downs life has to offer – and mostly with a smile!

In mid-December, quite unexpectedly, Emy landed wrong Karen was deeply distressed by the painful limping Emy began after the fall. She was concerned more damage had been done and reached out to Max’s Helping Paws for assistance with emergency treatment for Emy. Karen explained, “Since COVID, I lost a job and have been struggling to just pay rent. I know Emy needs help but I’m not able to afford anything unexpected like this right now.” As a responsible pet owner, Karen realized that in order for Emy to heal, she needed some assistance in order to go see the emergency clinic.

Once the assistance was provided, Emy was able to get the exam, x-rays and medications she needed to have her leg reset and placed in a cast. Even at 12 years old, this beautiful pup still has many years left, and having her bone heal with the proper care will ensure she continues to have many more walks with Emy in their neighborhoods.
