Penelope is naturally an active and inquisitive 9 year old mixed breed dog, until she began having abdominal issues and Annabelle took her to Aguajito Animal Hospital to see what was going on. Sadly they discovered Penelope had a tumor which required immediate surgery and removal of her spleen. Lucky for Penelope she was in great hands at Aguajito. Mom had scraped together all she could towards the vet bills, but nowhere near what the total would be for the surgery and the follow up needs she may have. Max’s Helping Paws was able to come to their aid and bridge the gap to get Penelope the help she needed. Now Annabelle can rest assured that Penelope has a great future ahead.
