Quick Action Saved Daisy

Daisy is just as pretty as her name, and her owner Jose and his family have enjoyed this precious pooch for 12 years so far. A true family dog who is exuberant to meet any new puppy friends, Daisy brings joy to her family every day.

Suddenly her dad noticed that Daisy was feeling a little droopy and not fully shining as she began to experience signs of illness. Although her normal veterinarian is Northridge Animal Hospital, Daisy needed assistance after business hours, so Jose wasted no time in taking Daisy to an emergency specialist. Within 24 hours, it was discovered Daisy had Diabetes and was developing some masses. Once the diagnostic was given, working together with the Pet Specialists of Monterey and their normal veterinarian, Northridge Animal Hospital, Jose was able to start Daisy on the path to managing her Diabetes.

After 12 years together, Jose was willing to do whatever he needed to get the care for Daisy, including asking for financial assistance with the diagnostics and continued care needed. Once contacted, Max’s Helping Paws was able to support Jose and Daisy with financial assistance in obtaining the veterinary care she needed. After the diagnostic tests, treatments and recovery, Daisy is now safely at home with her Diabetes managed well by her owner Jose and their veterinarian partners Northridge Animal Hospital. Sometimes, it takes a village to ensure the health and well-being of our beloved companions.
