Sugar’s So Sweet!

I’ve had her since she was a puppy, she’s so special.

— Selena —

When our precious pooch is in pain, we often feel sympathy pains of hurt for our companions. As a full time student as well as employee, Selena felt this distress when she realized her fur baby Sugar seemed to be in pain. Having received Sugar 10 years ago, Selena was well tuned-in to Sugar’s normal behaviors and realized when a change occurred. Sugar showed lack of appetite and there was also a lump on her pelvic area which seemed tender to the touch.

Being a responsible pet owner who is conscientiously paying her schooling as she goes, Selena knew her budget would be limited in obtaining treatment for Sugar. She reached out to Max’s Helping Paws as a starting place for assistance with diagnostic testing for Sugar. X-rays were needed to determine the nature of the mass on Sugar, and while Selena was able to afford a portion of the cost, she needed assistance in filling the gap of cost so that her fur baby could be diagnosed.

With thanks to our donors and partners, Max’s Helping Paws was able to extend assistance toward the cost of x-rays which Sugar needed. This first step of diagnostics allows owners an opportunity to obtain all the facts about their companions health and how they can best move forward to keep them healthy and comfortable. For Sugar, she was able to receive the x-rays that started her journey toward health for her, and a journey toward peace of mind for Selena. Thank you to all our contributors who make this opportunity possible.
