Humans Are A Dog’s Best Friend

Harvest Moon is our newest family member, we want her to feel better but I’m not able to afford it right now after moving across the country with the military.

— Mylissa —

For Willy, his human companion Lizbeth has been the best of friends! Lizbeth brought Willy to his forever home with her over 4 years ago after finding him at a rescue shelter. Having lost work due to COVID, Lizbeth and Willy have had even more time together this past year, and Willy loves it!

Normally a healthy and happy dog, Lizbeth became concerned for Willy when he started showing signs of illness. Willy began having weakness in his legs, started drooling and appeared to have a lack of appetite in January. Concerned for her best friend, but having finances cut in half this past year, Lizbeth didn’t know what to do for her beloved companion. Encouraged by a friend, she reached out to Max’s Helping Paws for assistance.

Thanks to our donors and community partners, Max’s was able to extend the funds needed for diagnostic treatments for Willy. He was able to receive the exam and medications which started his journey of healing. Willy, we look forward to hearing about your recovery and time back with Lizbeth healthy again!
