My bills exceed my income due to the pandemic. Any assistance that can get Chloe immediate care would be appreiated.
— David —
Working as a caddie for many years, David and his 2 cats – including Chloe – have had a very stable and pleasant life the past 7 years together. When the pandemic started, times definitely became more challenging as financial stress began to compile with the instability of David’s caddie job. Still managing to provide for himself and 2 companion cats, David was thrown off entirely when Chloe began not eating.
He shared with us, “In past few days she is unable to eat her hard food. Appears a slight drool has developed. We can see a redness swollen on tip of tongue. I work as a independent contractor for Pebble Beach company. My occupation is a caddie. Business is at a stand still and my cat is having a eating disorder of hard food. I am currently collecting Unemployment but not enough to leave emergency expenses.”
David did the next right step and contacted VCA All Pets for a phone call to get guidance, explaining “She has never had any troubles in her life. Sweet cat as many are but would appreciate any assistance that could get her immediate care. Speaking with a Vet they told me if she is not able to eat food that this can be very dangerous for her.” David recognized the seriousness of Chloe’s situation and inability to eat her food and reached out to Max’s Helping Paws to make sure his companion got the help she needed through our Diagnostic Program. With this program and offer of financial assistance, Chloe was able to be seen by VCA All Pets, receive the medications to help her sore mouth heal, and made a full recovery at home with David. Chloe is once again eating thanks to David’s attentiveness and the support of our donors which allowed the financial lifeline to provide a second chance at life for Chloe.
