I don’t have the funds needed…please help my dog.

Living on a fixed income due to disability may be challenging at times, but Diane and her beautiful pup Mary know how to keep their lives full of gratitude and contentment. Having rescued Mary over 7 years ago, Diane has been an ideal ‘dog mom’ to Mary. They share many walks, snuggles and play times together as they journey through life.
In February, Mary noticed Mary wasn’t urinating properly and seemed to be having difficulty when trying to do so. She took her to VCA All Pets, where it was discovered Mary had kidney stones. While able to pay for the initial diagnostics, the surgery to remove the kidney stones for Mary was something Diane felt overwhelmed by on her limited resources. She shared candidly, “I do not have the funds to help my poor dog with her kidney stones. I can give my time volunteering in return for your help. Please help my dog.”
While Max’s Helping Paws doesn’t require any client to ever ‘repay’ us, it warmed our hearts to see the lengths Diane was willing to go to in order to ensure Mary obtained the care she needed. Thanks to our donors and partner organizations, we were able to extend assistance for Mary to receive her surgery and have the kidney stones removed. At Max’s, we understand that money should never be the reason a pet suffers, and we were honored to be able to assist in Mary’s journey toward health. Mary was able to receive the IV fluids, cystotomy (removal of stones), and the follow up care she needed to return healthy, happy and home to Diane once again.
With a wonderful update from Diane, she shared that Mary is doing SO much better and expressed “THANK YOU! You saved my little girl!”
