Rosemary had found love at first bark when her sister gifted her with a little female Chihuahua named Lilly 10 years ago. As a person living with a disability and on a fixed income, Lilly brought more than just love to Rosemary’s world, she brought comfort and support. Lilly quickly became a bright spot in each day for Rosemary.
When slight bumps began forming on Lilly, as a responsible pet owner, Rosemary was extremely concerned. After seeing a vet, Rosemary was told Lilly had mammary tumors and they would need to be removed. Living within her means, things were still tight financially and the cost overwhelming to Rosemary. Fortunately, the VCA was able to recommend Max’s Helping Paws as a source of financial support and Rosemary applied right away. Once the assistance was provided, Lilly was able to successfully receive the surgery she needed to have the masses removed.
Thanks to supportive veterinary care, Max’s Helping Paws and a loving owner, Lilly was able to make a full return to her soft companion self.
