The Treasure of Oppa

This dog is a part of our family and has been a great contribution to our family, we would greatly appreciate any help in saving our dogs life

— Amy —

Hearing a sound like a cry, the family was pulled towards a dumpster 7 years ago and discovered an unexpected surprise. Tiny and hungry, a Pitbull puppy had been left by itself. Seeing this puppy in distress, the family knew they had discovered not just a treasure, but a new family member.

7 years later, this playful Pittie, Oppa, had become lethargic and was experiencing signs of illness. Taking Oppa to the Pet Specialists of Monterey, it was discovered that a partial urinary obstruction, as well as an abscess and hypoglycemia, were the culprits of poor health in Oppa. The family was able to cover a portion of the medical costs, but the unexpected costs added up quicker than they were ready for. They got in touch with Max’s Helping Paws and inquired about financial assistance for the remaining portion of the veterinary bills. Thanks to patient care and treatment, Oppa was able to return home to the family – happy and healthy once again!
