This beautiful Momma!

We love her and want her to be safe.

— Viet —

Named after a favorite food, this feisty 2 year old French Bulldog is not only a sweet tempered family companion, but is also an expecting momma dog! When Viet received Tofu from a friend 2 years ago, he knew she was special and wanted to breed her so that her puppies could carry on her stunning personality and beautiful coloring. Viet shared his excitement about learning she was going to have puppies and has been with her through every part of her care.

In early August, Viet became aware of Tofu having difficulty breathing. With immediate concern for her and the puppies, Viet took Tofu to the Pet Specialists of Monterey for care. They discovered Tofu had pneumonia and were concerned for her safety as well as those of her unborn pups. As a growing professional, Viet had been in a training program for work prior to COVID-19, but when the pandemic hit, he was laid off and was experiencing limited income due to the job loss. Viet shared with us,: “I have been in the process of training for another new job but due to slow business I have yet to get hired. Tofu never had any medical complications so this was very unexpected.”

Knowing Tofu and her puppies safety was at stake, Viet did whatever he needed to do and reached out to Max’s Helping Paws as a resource for financial support for the veterinary care needed. With the support provided and the expertise of the Vet Specialists, Tofu was able to be treated for her pneumonia and her puppies were also saved! A couple weeks later, we are so thrilled to report Tofu had 4 beautiful puppies who are all safe at home with her and her family once again.
