AZARII – Compassion Saved His Leg from Amputation

I saw him limping and the weird dangle to his back left paw.

— Jada, Azarii's mom —

When you walk up to your front door and see your 11 month old kitty curled up in a ball not wanting to move, something is very wrong. Jada tried to pick up her precious Azarii to see that his back leg was dangling and he couldn’t put weight on it. She took him to two different Vets, and neither was giving him the care he needed. Jada turned to Pet Specialists of Monterey who diagnosed Azarii with multiple fractures of his hind leg. Knowing she would do whatever she could to save Azarii and his leg they referred her to Max’s Helping Paws Chestnut Fund, where she was able to get the help she needed for the surgery and follow up care that would be needed. The team at VCA All Pets Aminal Hospital handled the surgery and after care for Azarii. Thanks to the swift action of everyone involved, Azarii is on the road to recovery spending most days lounging and surveying his kingdom from his favorite cozy bed.
